Background:
Gary Bason first played golf at the age of 11 and became a scratch golfer representing Sussex at all levels and then going on to play for the English Universities team. He gained a Higher National Diploma in Golf Studies before turning professional and joining Manston when it opened in 1995. In the mid-late 1990’s Gary combined competing on the Mastercard and Challenge Tour circuits with coaching at Manston Golf Centre. After getting married in 2000 he decided to focus his career on coaching all standards of golfer and now runs weekly classes for ladies, seniors, juniors and beginners. He is now a Positive Impact Golf Senior Coach whilst also working with the newly formed Kent Golf Partnership where he is responsible for the development of golf in the county.
